2026-10-23 - don't say YOU made it
-----------------------
i think the problem a lot of people have with ai is not the fact that programmers start using it - it is a tool, and has to be used as such. i think it's the way your work is presented. if you publish your program and note that it was made 'assisted by ai', then everything's fine. even if you vibe-code your program entirely - if you present it as such, you give the users full disclosure. which means, now the users can choose to use it or not.
i personally think it's not fair or ethical to vibe-code you app AND not disclose it as such - or worse, tell people YOU 'wrote' it, oder 'made' it. this gives people a completly wrong picture - writing an app has an entire different dimension, in contrast to sitting in front of the prompt of your choice and type 'write program which does xy, no errors please' and then lean back and watch. again, if your app was made this way, and it does what it should, i'm all fine with it. but i want to know if i'm admiring your craft or the engineering power of a multi-billion-dollar-venture.
so yeah, sharing your program with others, or selling it, is completly okay. but as with every consumer item - give me the ingredient list. i deserve to know.
